Camp Rules
HowlCon Code of Conduct
Here at HowlCon, we want to make sure everyone has not only a fun weekend, but a safe one as well. To facilitate that, we have a few camp rules we ask everyone to abide by.
By participating in HowlCon spaces, you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to our rules and those of the platform being used.
If you believe that someone is in violation of our rules, please contact a staff member.
Be respectful of your fellow campers
We strive to make participation in HowlCon spaces a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual and romantic orientation, race, religion, and system origin.
Respect is non-negotiable, no matter who you’re talking to. This includes respecting others beliefs, identities, opinions and pronouns (look at someone’s profile or ask if you're unsure).
Harassment will not be tolerated. Avoid mean-spirited or rude humour, and if discomfort is expressed then stop. If the offending behavior continues, disciplinary action will be taken.
In order to keep our virtual convention areas safe, we reserve the right to remove any content or users we deem harmful. Attendees that are found to be involved with hateful or dangerous groups will be permenantly banned.
Self-described zoophiles and members of the Zeta or ζ community are not welcome to attend.
Don't disrupt the convention or its events
Do not speak over presenter(s) if you are brought on stage to speak. Re-mute yourself once you are finished.
Leave the stage if you are requested to do so by the presenter(s).
Keep the panel chats and other channels on topic. Do not spam unrelated commentary or images and do not abuse Discord’s user pinging or direct messaging systems.
Any action or behavior that causes significant interference with convention operations or excessive discomfort to other attendees may result in permanent suspension.
Remember panels are being recorded
With the consent of the presenter(s), panels will be recorded and uploaded publicly to the HowlCon YouTube channel.
This will include recording the audio, any visuals presented, and the corresponding panel chat.
Panels that are set to be recorded will be marked as such on the convention schedule.
We ask that attendees be mindful of this fact and not participate in recorded panels if they do not wish to be included in the recording.
